Dear Corporate Member:
Welcome to another great year of AUSA events. The board and I have been working hard to put together a year of programs that will be educational and fun. As the Chapter President, I want to keep you up-to-date on all that we have planned;itís going to be a very busy year.
The Fort Riley - Central Kansas Chapter will install the new year's officers at the June general membership meeting. The newly elected officers will serve from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009. One of the goals in our chapter plan is to keep our corporate members informed of chapter activities and offer sponsorship opportunities for your business.
The following officer will be installed: Chapter President: Art Degroat
Corporate Member events:
We are planning four corporate events for the upcoming year. You are not only invited to attend, but encouraged to attend these events. Our events will offer a great opportunity to network with other corporate members, interact with the Soldiers and learn about what's happening on Fort Riley. We will be sending official invitations, with more details, as each event draws nearer.
Red Chip Socials:
This will be a great time for AUSA corporate members to socialize with Fort Riley commanders, Senior NCOs and Soldiers. You can share information about your business or just get to know people. MWR may be contacting you about the opportunities available to sponsor one of these events.
Other great news for our chapter pertains to our Web site. You can visit it at http://www.ausa.org/chapweb/frk/ausa/index.shtml once we have it ready to go. Our Web site will be accessible to everyone who surfs the World Wide Web. One of the benefits of being a member is the opportunity to promote your business on the site. We will have all corporate members listed with hyperlinks to your businessí Web site. This is a free service. To have your site placed on the list contact William Shea at 785-532-6350 or email him at email@example.com.
The Association of the United States Army will hold its annual convention 9 October through 11 October in Washington, D.C. We will once again host a reception during the convention. We encourage you to participate in both the reception and the convention. You can get more information about the convention at the AUSA Web site, www.ausa.org. You can contact Harold Wilson regarding the reception.
Thank you for your patriotism, your support for the United States Army, your support of the families who let their loved ones serve our Nation and thank you for supporting our local AUSA chapter.
