American Legion and Coalition to Salute America's Heroes Partner to Help Veterans (12/12/2007)
The Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes presented a check of $500,000 to The American Legion so the nation’s largest veterans organization can award grants to disabled veterans who served in the Iraq or Afghanistan wars.

TRICARE Responds Quickly to Possible Risk to Beneficiary Data (12/12/2007)
A limited amount of TRICARE beneficiary data has been placed at risk through unauthorized access to claims information. Proactive measures are being taken to ensure that affected TRICARE beneficiaries are informed. Analysis thus far has not produced indications of the beneficiary data being misused.

American Red Cross and Pitney Bowes Partner to Deliver Holiday Cards to Wounded Service Members (12/12/2007)
America's wounded service members are always grateful for supportive cards and notes--especially during the holiday season. This holiday season, communities across America are invited to mail cards along with personal messages of support to wounded service members at military hospitals around the country, through a unique partnership between the American Red Cross and Pitney Bowes Inc.

The National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI) is seeking nominations of outstanding military fathers, to be considered for the 2008 NFI Lockheed Martin Military Fatherhood Award™. The Awardee and his family will be honored at the 2008 NFI Fatherhood Awards™ Gala, to be held in Washington D.C. on Tuesday, April 29, 2008.
