The Rock Island Arsenal Chapter of AUSA is an active organization that supports and assists Soldiers and families stationed on Rock Island, Illinois and in the surrounding area. In the last two years the Chapter has raised and donated funds to support a variety of Soldier and family events and provided emergency funds to military families in need. The Chapter has also reached out to wounded warriors by providing a wheelchair ramp for a Soldier returning from Walter Reed and donating tickets to a monster truck event to wounded Soldiers. AUSA’s Charleston Chapter is also committed to supporting the nation’s wounded warriors, The Chapter conducts an annual Fund Drive to raise funds for "Wounded Warriors, Veterans, and Survivors of Troops Killed.” In the past two years it has raised and distributed almost $14,000 to wounded warriors, family members, and the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston.
