ARLINGTON, VA, June 27 -- The president of the Association of the United States Army said, “We are very disappointed that the Congress did not include an increase in payment to health care providers under TRICARE in failing to improve Medicare reimbursements. It is putting off a solution to a problem that will continue to grow.”
Gen. Gordon R. Sullivan, USA, Ret., said, “AUSA has recognized the difficulty service members of all components, retirees and their families have had historically in finding providers who accept TRICARE because of what they considered low re-imbursement rates.”
He added, “The problem will likely be increasing over time as the Army continues to grow and Congress continually refines the health care benefits of the reserve components.”
