Military Housing
09/11/2000

The Association of the United States Army has been and will remain active and committed to supporting the need for affordable adequate housing for both single/unaccompanied soldiers and soldiers with families. Congress and the Department of Defense must increase funding to construct, modernize and upgrade barracks and family housing and maintain them to an acceptable level. They must continue to protect the current nontaxable status of benefits and allowances and eliminate soldier out-of-pocket expenses for housing off the installation.
